About London Barndance

Lively American-style barndances with contras, square sets, and couple dances. The caller walks everyone through the figures so it is easy to join in. Most people change partners after each dance so you get to dance with lots of different people. You don't need any previous experience (though if you have done some English folk dancing you will recognise most of the figures) and you don't have to bring a partner, though you can bring all your friends if you want to!
We use the main hall at Cecil Sharp House, which has a large sprung dance-floor with space for well over 100 dancers.
You can book tickets in advance or pay at the door.
