About Stafford & District Caledonian Society

Scottish Country Dancing classes on Wednesdays for beginners / improvers from 7pm prompt and for existing dancers from 7:45to 9:30pm. Also social dances throughout the year and visits to other societies.

We learn reels, jigs and strathspeys (slow dances) which are danced as a pair of dancers in "sets" of other pairs. You don't have to attend in pairs as this is a very social activity and we all dance with each other. Many of our members are individuals, not just couples.

Our Wednesday venue is North End Community Centre, Holmcroft Road, Stafford. We are a very friendly group and welcome potential new members to come along for a taster session, preferably the early 7pm class to start with.

We don't wear Scottish attire at our Wednesday classes, just ordinary comfortable clothing and light weight soft footwear.
