About Datchet Folk Dance Club
We teach and dance modern and traditional English social dance. The dancing is suitable for all ages including accompanied children and everybody is welcome but our members are typically 50 plus. We meet every Friday except August and some Bank Holidays in Datchet WI Hall SL3 9EL. The first and third Fridays in each month are from 8-10 pm all other Fridays are from 2-4 pm. There is a refreshment break during each session. Partners are not essential and beginners will find that they are most welcome in a friendly social atmosphere.
We organize two special Ceilidh evenings during the year and arrange shared evenings with other groups who have similar interests. We are affiliated to the English Folk Dance and Song Society and we are members of the Chiltern Folk Association.
We believe that membership of our club has a beneficial effect on our physical and mental well-being but most of all it is great fun.
