About Essex Swing Dance
Essex Swing Dance is a non-profit community organisation dedicated to fostering a vibrant and inclusive swing dance culture. We welcome individuals of all skill levels to learn, practice, and enjoy swing dance in a supportive and engaging environment. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced dancer, we provide opportunities to develop your skills, meet like-minded enthusiasts, and have fun on the dance floor.
Our commitment to the community extends beyond dance. At Essex Swing Dance, we actively support the live music scene by organising monthly band nights. These events provide dancers with the very best swing music while ensuring that all profits go directly to the talented musicians who bring our dance floor to life.
We offer regularly scheduled classes every Monday evening at 7:30pm at The Bookmaker, Chelmsford, tailored to beginner and intermediate dancers.
Our lessons emphasise a relaxed and fun approach, working on rhythm, musicality and confidence to help you enjoy dancing to the fullest.
Classes are held in a friendly and encouraging environment, making it easy to learn and grow at your own pace.
