Pollokshaws Burgh Hall has a tower, it has a ballroom and it has a famous, mighty Wurlitzer. There is therefore no reason why we cannot recreate the atmosphere of that famous terpsichorean palace, right here in Glasgow. Join Gordon Cree for a 'Pop-Up Ballroom' with Scotland's only functioning mighty Wurlitzer for an afternoon of ballroom, Latin, sequence and old-time dancing.
Sunday 9th February 2025 from 1.30pm until 4.00pm.
Admission (at the door on the day) is £6 per person, which includes unlimited interval tea, coffee, biscuits etc. (and possibly some more luxurious treats...)
In association with the Scottish Cinema Organ Trust. All profits in aid of the preservation and maintenance of the organ.
Pollokshaws Burgh Hall venue
The venue has a car park (subject to inputting car registration number into keypad inside the venue).
It is less than 1/4 mile (5 mins) walk from Pollokshaws West Station, which is on the same road.
The hall is on several bus routes.
