Skillywidden: A St. Piran Nos Lowen (Cornish dance night).
Redruth's beautifully restored and vibrant Buttermarket celebrates St Piran with live music by SKILLYWIDDEN, leading lights of the nos lowen style of Cornish Celtic dance music.
Born out of the legendary Dalla, internationally acclaimed champions of Cornish music, Skillywidden are renowned for whipping up wild nights of Cornish dancing.
The line-up includes members of Dalla, as well as special guests drawn from the cream of Cornish musical talent, both from the world of traditional Cornish music, and from other genres too.
Audience: Anyone who likes a bit of a dance, and also anyone who wants to enjoy some of the best Cornish traditional music you'll ever hear!

The Buttermarket Redruth venue
The Buttermarket is right in the very centre of Redruth on the junction of Station Hill and Alma Place. Look out for our bright signage and follow the scent of fresh flavours until you reach our cobbled courtyard of kitchens and shops. Enter via our new entrance lobby on Alma Place, through Market Way just off Fore Street, or through the public walkway on Station Hill.
Train
Just a stone’s throw from Redruth Station, with easy connections to and from Penzance, Truro and beyond.
Bike
There is cycle parking available right outside on Alma Place and more just across the road at Redruth Station.
Bus
As the venue is opposite Redruth Station, there are multiple bus connections servicing different parts of the local area. For more information search Transport for Cornwall.
Car
Redruth Revival Fair Meadow car park (TR15 2PP) on Station Hill that is right on the doorstep. All profits from this car park go back into projects like the Buttermarket. You can enter the Buttermarket via the steps opposite the entrance or head up Station Hill for level access to the whole site.
